Reiki is a method of natural energy healing, using varying frequencies of energy to heal at all levels. Energy is channelled by the practitioner and directed through the hands to wherever it is needed. Developed by Dr Usui after his enlightenment on Mount Kurama, for more information

Reiki has spread throughout the world as a respected form of healing used by many millions of people, and many hospitals and clinics. Reiki is said to accelerate the body's own natural ability to heal itself, on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level.

The treatment involves the Reiki Practitioner placing both hands on or above the client in specific positions, which 'opens' up the body's energy channels and helps to clear any blockages that may be affecting the flow of Ki energy.  Ki is the non-physical energy that animates all living things. Ki is flowing in everything that is alive including plants, animals and humans. We receive Ki from the air we breathe, from food, sunshine, and from sleep. Ki is also the Chi of China, the prana of India, the Ti or Ki of the Hawaiians, and has also been called odic force, orgone, bioplasma and life force. Having a lot of ki is associated with wellbeing and having low Ki indicates that we are not well. See hand positions used

Is Reiki a form of faith healing?

No, Reiki is not a religion, nor is it based on the acceptance of any religious doctrine. Having a belief

system is not a requirement for Reiki to work. Reiki does not infringe on anyone’s right to believe what he or she wishes. However, Reiki's principles are spiritual in nature and do encourage spiritual empowerment and growth.

Can Therapists Use Reiki With Other Treatments?

Reiki works well with any form of healing treatment. Reiki enhances the benefits of the therapists existing form of healing. Clients usually feel the difference in the treatment they are receiving and often therapists offer Reiki healing as an additional treatment.

Can Anyone Learn Reiki?

Anyone can learn Reiki healing. No prior ‘spiritual gift’ or knowledge of Reiki healing is required. Anyone who has received the appropriate Reiki teaching and attunements can use it either for self treatment as in Reiki 1 or treating others Reiki 2 or Reiki Master training. I believe that anyone that feels they want to learn Reiki will be able to use Reiki energy, even if in some cases it means having a little extra tuition and practice time before they benefit from the full energy of Reiki.

Can you do a session of Distant healing?
